A Very Merry Doran Family Christmas

A very merry Christmas was had by all at the Doran house this year.

Maggie seemed to really enjoy it. In fact, unlike most babies, she actually played with her new toys instead of just fiddling with the box they came in! She obviously hasn't grasped the whole "Santa Claus" thing just yet, but she certainly enjoyed the holiday food-fest!

Ethan and Katie are having a wonderful winter break and we are all looking forward to Mike starting his new job in just a couple of weeks!

Only A Few More Days Until Christmas!!!

The kids are finally out of school for winter break. Everyone's grades are up (Kate has straight A's!!!) and we are all settling in for a well-deserved break.

We gave Megan most of her Christmas presents today... we gave her bedroom a make over. It was a blast!!! We believe she really likes it too!

The Christmas shopping is done (except for Mike's - who always does it at the last minute) and 90% of the wrapping is complete... we're in the home stretch now!

The latest... quickie updates!

Katie and a couple of her friends recently took top place in her grade level for group humor at the Oral Language Festival for her school. They went on to the school-wide competition where they did very well, but didn't place. The piece was a very funny poem about a lost teddy bear. She currently has all A's and one B! We are SO proud of her!

Ethan's birthday is Saturday and I'm sad to report that he's actually already conned his Nana and his sister into giving him his gifts early. What a stinker! ;o)

We're looking forward to winter break when Mike will take several days off to loaf around the house with the rest of the family!
