5.0 Earthquake Yesterday...
It made for an interesting afternoon...
Around 3:55 - the kids were doing homework, Mike was in the shower and I was feeding Maggie...
Oddly enough I actually heard the roof creak before I felt the rumble. It was a rough rumble but it really only lasted maybe 2 or 3 seconds. (Probably more like 2... it was very fast.)
Kate didn't even notice it. Ethan was in the kitchen and thus got the full effect of the pans swinging. Maggie, of course, was completely oblivious.
Funny thing, this quake was much closer (Caliente, about a 30 minute drive from us) then the one near Cambria, CA last December that did so much damage to Paso Robles, yet, the tremor we felt from December's quake lasted MUCH longer and seemed to roll much more than this one did.
I think Ethan enjoyed it...
He's strange like that.
He gets it from Mike.
